Natural Beeswax / Carnauba polish Neutral Colour
£4.99
Natural Beeswax Polish with Carnauba wax.
For Ukulele, Guitar and other Wooden Musical Instruments.
Neutral colour
All our wax polishes are made from the finest natural ingredients,
You will not believe the mirror like shine that can be obtained with using a wax, with the correct amount of carnauba wax in the mix.
Carnauba is one of the hardest natural waxes on the planet.
And when mixed with natural Beeswax produces a workable polish which is tough and hard-wearing.
The correct way to apply the wax is as follows.
1, clean the instrument, as any dirt, dust etc. will affect the wax finish.
2, With a lint free soft cotton cloth, rub the top of the polish with the cloth to soften the wax and to enable it to be transferred to the cloth.
3, In circular motion apply the wax to the instrument, use only enough to put a fine layer onto the wood.
4, Once the wax has been applied, leave it alone for about 10 minutes. The wax should now have set, and may look a bit dull.
5, With a new clean soft lint free cotton rag, rub the surface of the instrument to bring out a shine.
6, When the whole of the instrument has been polished and is looking shiny, its time to put on a second coat of wax.
7, As before, apply a very small amount on top of the existing wax.
8, This layer is best to be applied in the same direction as the grain of the wood.
9, When all the instrument has been done, this layer can be left overnight to full harden.
10, Now the instrument can be finally polished.
11, Again with a clean cloth, polish the surface to bring out the shine of the instrument.
This may seem a long procedure, but takes a total of about 20 minutes to do a full ukulele. After which you get a well protected instrument. Once the initial polishing is done, you only really need to polish once or twice a year depending on use, to keep the shine and protection.
